Pastor Tiebet John Ibanga was born and grew up under strict Christian principles in a traditional Christian family.
He attended Qua Iboe Church with his parents until in 1985 when he had an unforgettable experience with God at Deeper Life Bible Church, Abak. The message, the old man sowed a seed which formed the bedrock of his faith.
Pastor T.J Ibanga has that strong passion for the many thirsty soul who are out there still to be grafted into the kingdom.
His central team, ‘’God saved you so that you will be a channel through which others may come to know him’’ was laid on him as a burden.
He viewed the commission Jesus left for all believer “Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? Behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest” John 4:35 as an urgent mission.
Holiness without which no man could see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14) formed his central message.
Ordained in Speak the Light Bible Church he shared in the vision God handed to Elder Francis. The bond that keep him in focus of the ministries’ pursuit.

Who we are in STLBC
The mission of Speak the light Bible Church is to love God, to love others, and to magnify the name of Jesus Christ. The vision of our church is to glorify our God and Savior- Jesus Christ, to make true disciples, to minister the ordinances, to edify believers, and to do all that is sovereignly possible and biblically permissible to magnify the name of Jesus Christ.
OBJECTIVE: Getting and Growing people into Relationship with JESUS CHRIST
IN A NUT SHELL: We are all about Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus Christ is who He said He was, the Son of God who came and died for our sins. If by any means you could find time to visit our church, we trust you´ll get to know Him as we do, because He´s truly what life is all about for us !
We´re also very much about PEOPLE. Every person who walks through our doors is so important to us, and if you will love to become a part, please you´re welcome. As a group of God´s people we care about you and your family and we´re here not only to feed you spiritually, but to help in any way we can. We love doing it and that´s why we exist.
Lastly, we are all about RELATIONSHIP. We hope to cultivate and GROW meaningful and positive relationships between one another, but also go further by Getting and Growing in Relationship with God the Father. Christianity is all about a PERSON, and less about RULES. That means that we exist to be in a relationship with SOMEONE, that is the person of JESUS CHRIST, and not merely to obey a religion. We´d love to stay in touch with you.
Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.
“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you”(1 Peter 5:10).
Our Mission and Vision Mission Statement
Speak the light Bible Church is a body of Pentecostal believers whose purpose is to seek to know the heart of God by actively following his word. We pledge to bring the heart of God to the people through worship, ministry and evangelism.
Mission scripture – Isaiah 61 1-3
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.
What We Believe
1. The Scripture Inspired.
The bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written word of God (2 Timothy 3:15-17) for faith, conduct and practice.
2. The One True God.
There is one true God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit (Deut. 6:4; Isaiah 43:10, 11; Matt. 28:19; Luke 3:22).
3. The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Scripture declares his virgin birth, his sinless life, his miracles, his vicarious and atoning death, his bodily resurrection from the dead, his ascension to the right hand of the father, his personal return to the earth power and in glory to rule a thousand years.
4.The fall of Man.
Man was created good and upright, and in the image and likeness of God.
However, man by voluntary transgression fell and thereby invited both physical and spiritual death, which is separation from God (Gen. 1:26, 27; 2:17; 3:6; Romans 5:12-19).
5.The salvation of Man.
Man’s only hope of redemption is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
6. The Ordinance of the Church.
These are: WATER BAPTISM by immersion for all who repent and believe in Christ as savior and Lord. (Matt. 28:19; Mark 16:16; Rom. 6:4) and HOLY COMMUNION, consisting of the elements – bread and the fruit of the Vine- is the symbol expressing the broken body and the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ (1Cor. 11:26).
7.The Baptism in the Holy Spirit.
All believers are entitled to and should ardently expect and earnestly seek the promise of the father, the baptism in the Holy Ghost and fire, according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Luke 24:49: Acts 1:4, 8; 1 Cor. 12:1-31)
8. The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Ghost
The Baptism of believers in the Holy Ghost is witnessed by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the spirit of God gives the utterance (Acts 2:4; 10:44-46; 19:6).
Sanctification is separation from that which is evil and of dedication unto God (Romans 12:1, 2; 1Thess. 5:23; Heb. 13:12). By the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, the Christian is enabled to live a holy life (Heb. 12:14; 1 Peter 1:15, 16).
10. The Church and Its Mission.
The Church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her commission. Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven. (Eph. 1:22, 23; 2:22; Heb. 12:23).
11.The Ministry.
A divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for the threefold purpose of leading the church in:
a. Evangelisation of the World- Mark 16:15-20
b. Worship of god- John 4:23-24.
c. Building a body of saints being perfected in the image of his son- Eph. 4:11, 16.
12. Divine Healing.
Divine healing is an integral part of the gospel. Healing of the human body, in answer to believing prayers, is provided for in the atonement and is the privilege of all believers. (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matt. 8:16-17; James 5:14-16).
13. The Blessed Hope.
The resurrection of those who have died in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is the imminent and blessed hope of the Church called the Rapture of the Church (1 Thess. 4:16-17; Rom. 8:23; Titus 2:13; 1Cor. 15:51-52).
14. The Millennial Reign of Christ.
The second coming of Christ includes the rapture of the saints, which is our blessed hope, followed by the visible return of Christ with his Saints to reign on earth for one thousand years. (Zech.14:5; Matt. 24:27, 30; Rev. 1:7; 19:11; 20:1-6).
15. The Final Judgement.
There will be a final judgement in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. (Matt. 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; Rev. 19:20; 20:11-15; 21:8).
16. The New Heaven and the New Earth.
“We, according to His promise, look for new heaven and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness” (2 Peter 3:13; Rev. 21 & 22)
